We stayed at the cottage for three nights (May 10-12,2023) and found it to be absolutely wonderful. The cottage was warm, welcoming, and very comfortable. Our host, Susan was very friendly and helpful. We could not have asked hit a better place to start our Scotland holiday than in Daviot at this cottage. We highly recommend staying here as you explore this beautiful area of Scotland.

By far the best place I've stayed in the UK
I've stayed at over two dozen places in the UK, and this was the best. Loads of hot water. Beds that were comfortable (much more comfortable than any of the best hotels). Heating throughout the house that works. Response times of 5 minutes to any questions I had. Great location. Loved it!

My family had a one night stopover in this beautiful cottage enroute back home from the Isle of Lewis. We were all so impressed with the location and facilities in the cottage and wish we could have stayed longer. We will be back! Also, Susan is a wonderful host and so kind 😊

We have had an incredible stay at The Old Police House, everything has surpassed our already high expectations. Susan has created an exceptional home from home with the super comfortable beds, cosy living area, great utility space for dogs, fully equipped kitchen, i could go on...
The location of The Old Police House is perfect for exploring much of the Highlands. During our stay we've visited Nairn Beach, Cairngorm National Park, Glen Affric & the Isle of Skye to name a few. We would love to come back and stay here and explore more of the Highlands and will absolutely recommend this place to our friends. Thank you for an amazing week away Susan :)

Susan, thank you so much for all your efforts and for such an amazing cottage! We've had a wonderful time and enjoyed our stay in the Old Police House very much - our two dogs too of course :-)
I also would like to say again THANK YOU for my Birthday Present! What a wonderful suprise from a really attentive host.
During our stay we visited the Culloden Battlefield, Clava Cairns, the Chandondry Point / Fortrose (Thanks for the tip concerning the best time to see dolphins) and many other beautiful places for example Nairn Beach, Beauly Priority, Rosemarkie Beach, the Tomatin Distillery (Legacy Tour), Red Castle etc.
Of course we've also made beautiful walks with our dogs in the area. Especially the beaches were fantastic for them as well as the garden of the Old Police House :-)
Susan, we wish you all the best for the future and we are very much looking forward to see you again in 2020 when we come back to the Old Police house.

We really enjoyed our time at The Old Police House and the efforts made by Sue to make our short holiday such a success. On arrival the house was immaculate and spotlessly clean, the house has been recently refurbished to a high standard, is very well equipped and the bed made us realise just how uncomfortable ours is at home! The house is perfectly placed just 10 minutes south on Inverness with plenty of choice for eating out, shopping and the cinema and really could not have worked out better for us. Sue is very dog friendly and Lottie enjoyed the many woodland walks (recommended by Sue) and trips to the beach at Lossiemouth and Dornoch, we have always loved this part of the Highlands and plan to visit and stay at The Old Police House again sometime early next year. Thanks again for a great holiday.

As an international traveler, visiting a country for the first time, it is difficult to find just the right place in just the right location with all of the amenities of home. "The Old Police Station" was just as advertised ... only better! The owners thought of everything when they remodeled this building and when they furnished and supplied it -- right down to the croquet set (which we unfortunately never got to use) and the yummy snacks in the basket by the kitchen sink! The house was cozy and comfortable -- we did not want to leave! We were there to see Scotland, but we struggled with just wanting to relax at "home" and be a family! We would have been very happy if it had rained the entire time, but it didn't rain until the day we left. We did not struggle trying to figure out what day-trips to take -- the owners stocked the coffee table's drawers with pamphlets and maps and even came over and offered suggestions/ideas directly fitting to what we wished to accomplish during our short stay. Thank you Susan (and family) for making Scotland the highlight of our vacation in the UK. Should we ever decide to return for more of Scotland, "The Old Police Station" will be top on our list! Should anyone ever mention Scotland, this home will always be the first of many wonderful memories.

The house is new and everything is well prepared. The location is very convenient to everywhere. The owner are very kindly. If I would go to Inverness again, I would chose the house and stay there longer.

Excellent stay in the newly converted police house. Every facility you would want. 3 lovely bedrooms and 3 great bathrooms. Susan the owner had thought of everything for us and our dog. Well located just off the A9 good for getting to all places and easy to find. Daviot woods close by for walking and biking. Culloden 10mins by car. Would recommend to all ages. Excellent

Susan really worked hard to provide 100% satisfaction during our stay. From initially providing great email communication, highlighting local attractions to the small touches personalising the house for our stay. Stunning location & really well positioned to cover the Cairngorms, Inverness & further afield.

First class! The house is recently converted and has been done to an incredibly high standard. a great base for an active family holiday - lots of space, and great layout. Having stayed at lots of holiday rentals in this price bracket, this is by far the best. On top of that, the host Susan, is absolutely terrific. :)
